I currently work as a school counselor at Millbrook High School. Masters of Education, School Counseling from UNC Chapel Hill. Bachelors Degree in Psychology minors in spanish and neuroscience from Elon University.
Experience
As a professional, one of my primary jobs is to help students with college access (help with college essays, SAT prep, etc.) As a graduate of two degree programs, I have experience with research, tests, and research papers in psychology as well as other subjects. I have tutored algebra at high schools and worked in elementary schools in the past. I want to be able to tutor students to give each person the extra help they need to accomplish their goals in school! I just recently took the GRE and therefore am very current with the new test and how to achieve a target score. I have have plentiful experience working with students of all ages 4-18 in professional positions and various volunteer positions (tutoring, coaching, teaching tae kwon do). I led a peer education program at my undergraduate institution and therefore am very organized and able to communicate well! Studying abroad in Spain and Costa Rica has made me confident helping with spanish classes of all levels. I have also taught ESL at my undergraduate university and am able to tutor this as well. I look forward to helping you achieve academic success!!
