I have a bachelors degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine. My careers have included twenty-three years in software engineering and five years in IT. I have owned my own IT company through which I specialized in providing computer and network services as well as other Information Technology services for residential users and small businesses.

My careers have included twenty-three years in software engineering and five years in IT. I have owned my own IT company through which I specialized in providing computer and network services as well as other Information Technology services for residential users and small businesses. The changes in my professional fields happen in a short time and at a fast pace, and, as such, require me to continually teach myself in order to stay current. I realized that I love the changes because I love to learn! I wanted to instill the love of learning in students, so I began to mentor. I believe the best way for me to help my students is for me to develop a method of tutoring that is uniquely suited to the student, while focusing on mastering basic techniques and concepts and guiding the student in understanding the theory as we work together to master the subject. I appreciate working with a talented student who wants to fully grasp a subject and be successful in it. And I get great satisfaction from working with a student who struggles with a subject and turning that subject into one that makes sense in ways the student never expected it to.

Hobbies
I ride my bike with my husband. I play the flute. I read a lot. I study subjects that interest me. I work as a guardian ad litem for children in foster care. This is a position I love because I become the voice of the child within the wake county system to ensure the child is getting the best care possible. I am also a mentor in the GO:Mentor program which seeks to fill the gap for any child that needs encouragement, love and/or support. I teach Sunday school to K/1st graders - one of the highlights of my week. I own my own sole-proprietor IT business in which I specialize in providing computer and network services as well as other Information Technology services for residential users and small businesses. I provide free IT assistance to seniors.
