Experience
8 years of teaching experience 15 years of tutoring experience I began tutoring as an undergraduate and worked in the physics and math tutorial center at NCSU through graduate school. I have taught high school and community college mathematics full time for 6 years. I have experience teaching mathematics from algebra up through differential equations. In addition to having been a full time teacher I have a master level tutoring certification from the College Reading and Learning association. When I tutor students I work with them to understand mathematics, not just to do math problems. Understanding math can turn a subject that can seem like a maze of rules and problem types into something comprehensible and straight forward. I have also tutored and helped students prepare for the math portion of the SAT and GRE. I work with all students to understand mathematics, not just to do math problems. Understanding math can turn a subject that can seem like a maze of rules and problem types into something comprehensible and straight forward.
