I've studied German for over 12 years—from middle and high school all the way through college—and I'm eager to help students find the same enjoyment in the language. I've also studied Arabic for four years, and I've spent a total of 6 months in Morocco and Egypt for immersion learning. I'm a member of Delta Phi Alpha, the German honor society, and I acted as an ambassador for the Duke Islamic Center. I recently finished working on the computer animated TV series, "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," in which I won (well, the show won) an Emmy Award for Outstanding Animation. I'm a big traveler and film buff. I've been to 40 of the 50 US states, and I've made my way through Italy, Austria, Morocco, Egypt, and China. I worked in the TV production industry, so needless to say I've seen A LOT of movies and shows. I'm currently spending my time writing creatively, attempting to improve at golf, and taking care of my two dogs and my one-eyed cat (her name is Winky).
