I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2010 with a 3.47 GPA in Elementary Education.

Experience

I spent the past three years teaching abroad in South Korea. I taught ELL English, Social Studies, Science, and Math. I was able to motivate children and help them learn English by learning about their interests and relating it to what they were learning. I would like to tutor because I'm an energetic, caring, and organized educator. This is something that I would like to do while I am studying for the Praxis II in order to be a certified teacher in NC.

Hobbies

My hobbies and interests include reading fiction and non-fiction. I just finished reading Shanghai Girls and started reading Steven King's Dr. Smoke which is a sequel to The Shining. I like all genres of fiction. I also like to travel whether it's in Asia or the beaches of North Carolina. I love the Outer Banks! I also love the mountains. I enjoy nature walks, movies, music, cooking, biking,flea markets, history and historical landmarks, etc...There are so many things I like to do and am interested in.
