I would like to be a tutor because a majority of the people in which I have encountered, show no interest in history. They are incurious because their professors have not made the effort in making the subject enjoyable. Furthermore, having been a history major, I have taken a plethora of various history courses. Some of these courses include: History of the US, African- American History, Ancient Egyptian History, World Civilizations, History of the USSR, Sports History, Atomic Age, etc. During my senior year of undergraduate studies, I participated in an internship at the Levine Museum of the New South, located in Charlotte, North Carolina. At this internship, we were responsible for giving tours, working directly with children of all ages and working on a curriculum for the Museum's upcoming summer enrichment program.
