I graduated in May of 2013 from UNCG with my Bachelor's Degree with a dual major in English and Education with high school licensure.
Experience
I have five years of tutoring experience and two years of teaching experience. I tutored a fourteen year old boy with Asperger’s Syndrome over two summers. I was also a teacher for a ten year old girl two summers ago for her homeschool curriculum. I am currently a high school teacher in Raleigh, and I work with students outside of class on reading, writing, analysis, and more! I currently teach Honors English II Cultures and Civilizations (World Literature and Analysis), English II, and Honors Speech. I have taught many other classes in the past including Advanced Composition and Honors English I. I work with a wide variety of students and learning styles. I am also the Cultural Awareness club adviser after school. With my degree, I was able to take a wide variety of courses in college including multicultural literature. I also took a young adult literature course, education courses, and writing and composition courses. I absolutely love teaching and tutoring! As someone who is dedicated to providing the highest quality of service at all times, I am actively involved and engaged in all aspects of teaching, particularly planning and delivering classes/sessions in detail. The foundation of my success lies in my passion for teaching and working with young people. I bring energy, enthusiasm, and fresh ideas to the learning environment. I have a desire for students to achieve their full potential. I am resourceful, innovative, and responsible with excellent organizational skills.

Hobbies
I love spending time with my husband and my family. Being with my family is probably my favorite thing in the world. We also have a wonderful puppy who we are training and loving on! My husband and I absolutely love watching shows/movies together in the evenings after dinner. I enjoy running and exercising frequently. Two of my favorite places to go are Disney World and the beach. I play piano in my free time. And, of course, I love reading and writing!
