Education

I graduated from NC State University this May 2015. I have a BA in Spanish Language & Literature and a BA in International Studies, Latin America Concentration. I also have a minor degree in Religious Studies.

Experience

I am an Alumnus of Sigma Delta Pi, Xi Omicron chapter. This is the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society. We tutor college students in entry to intermediate level Spanish courses as well as participate in high school programs to encourage interest in Spanish literature and the various cultures of Spanish-speaking people. Alumnus of the University Honors Program. This is an interdisciplinary honors program that focuses on undergraduate research. My capstone focuses on the effects of colonialism and imperialism in the Americas. I participated in NCSU's "SAY" program, Students Advocating for Youth. I took mentoring and advocacy courses, as well as mentored one elementary student at a local Raleigh school, where I created and implemented a curriculum to foster good personal and educational habits. I have taken many courses in history, anthropology, sociology, English literature, Spanish and English linguistics, and religious studies. I can easily help tutor those in high school or lower level courses in these fields. I have a lot of experience with peer review and editing, in both English and Spanish, for research papers, persuasive arguments and abstracts.
