A passionate and enthusiastic teacher, I enjoy getting to know students and can't wait to work with the people I tutor. I have been a fifth grade teacher for five years, working at the elementary school I went to as a child. I spent much of my life in Virginia but it's great to be in Raleigh, North Carolina. Math is my favorite to teach. It is and always was my strong point and I like to see the confidence build with algebra and all forms of elementary school math. I encourage all my students to do their best by being motivating and encouraging; I start by increasing their confidence in the knowledge they have.I love teaching and working with all of my students. From first grade math to fifth grade arithmetic and sixth grade reading, I put all my effort into encouraging my students to be confident in doing their best. As for me, I attended Christopher Newport University. In addition to teaching and helping kids on the side, I love the outdoors and spending time enjoying sports, the pool, the beach, or reading when I am not hard at work doing what I love the most.
