I recently graduated college in 2013 from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a double degree in English and International Studies. During college I studied abroad in Guatemala where I interned at a local after-school program for high-school students, helping with homework and activities. After I graduated I spent one year teaching 7th grade Language Arts and Social Studies in the Dominican Republic, as well as tutoring 5th and 6th grade. I am now a writer and Social Media Director for Raleigh Music Industry Association, an online music publication for the Raleigh area.

Hobbies
I am an avid reader, writer, and traveler. Most of my free time is spent exploring new books, new places, and new cultures. I love working with kids, coming from a large family with lots of younger siblings and cousins, I have experience personally and professionally with kids of all ages. I believe the best teachers are those who truly love their subjects, and I've been blessed to have been able to teach what I love to some fantastic students. Teaching will always be one of my passions and I plan to continue sharing, learning, and growing with my students.
