Experience
I have tutored many students in a variety of subjects, from elementary math, English, and history to college-level subjects such as statistics, physiology, French, and psychology, to name a few. I thoroughly enjoy tutoring people of all ages, children or adults. I plan on working in the developmental field of psychology, specifically the myriad aspects of learning. I find that I learn quite as much from students as they learn from me, but being the help they need to get through a difficult or even a simple subject is satisfaction enough. Seeing the look of joy on a person's face at finally grasping a concept with which he or she had difficulty is something that one never forgets! I have taken basic education courses as well as a linguistics course for teachers. I have also completed university-level courses in all of the subjects for which I am offering tutoring. I currently work as the data technician for the National Center for Child Traumatic Stress, run concurrently by Duke University and UCLA.
